People, Times, and Seasons
I am learning to appreciate the people who are here now, knowing they may not be here forever.........
I’ve often found myself wondering: do we meet the right people at the wrong times? More often than not, it feels like life’s way of reminding us that “this life no balance for any of us.” It’s as though nature ensures that change remains the one constant, the rule we can’t escape. Sometimes, the person might be right, but the circumstances aren’t. Other times, the circumstances are perfect, but the person, well, they’re no longer there.
Life’s seasons shift, and so do we. The people who feel so perfectly aligned with us in one season may not fit in the next. As we grow, evolve, and navigate new paths, those connections can fade or transform, often in ways we don’t expect. And while that truth can be deeply unsettling, it also holds a kind of bittersweet beauty. It’s why reveling in the present moment is so important. Wishing that times and seasons were different might mean wishing the people and the experiences were different too. And who’s to say those differences would give you the same joys, lessons, or memories you cherish now?
I’m learning to embrace the impermanence of it all. To appreciate the people who are here now, knowing they may not be here forever. Not everyone is meant to be with us until the wheels fall off, and that’s okay. Life’s seasons are like autumn leaves; they fall and make way for new ones to grow. The beauty lies in the cycle, in the endings that make new beginnings possible.
So instead of mourning what’s gone or pining for what could have been, I’m choosing to celebrate what was. To relive the amazing moments, to hold on to gratitude for the time we shared, and then… to move on. Moving on doesn’t mean forgetting; it means safeguarding the good memories while making room for better ones.
Plug in those headphones. Read that book. Take that trip. Write your heart out. Do anything and everything that helps you honor what was while staying open to what’s next. Life’s magic is in its unpredictability, in the way it never stops shifting and surprising us.
At the end of the day, life is for the living. So live. Revel in every season, every connection, every fleeting moment. Because even when the leaves fall, the promise of spring is never far behind.
Love, light and everything nice,
